Oops, haven't updated here for awhile! ^^;

AP tests are next week. I'm kind of intimidated by the prospect of writing six essays, but hey, I'll survive. 4th quarter progress reports also go out next week - it's hard to believe I'll be a senior in only six weeks!

Swim season's nearly over - only a week more. While I'll be glad to be done with running a mile daily, I'll miss people on the team (most of them are freshman, actually! swim-team freshman are generally good stock. XD) and the coaches, too! I'll miss Taber and Thad especially. (Cindi...I could live without.)

Overall things are going pretty well despite the stress from all the tests and projects.

Oh! I also caved into the temptation and bought FFX-2. I've been playing it too often for all the tests..I'm also leveling up way too much for my place in the chapters! I'm in chapter 3 with 49% completion with characters at level...65 about. XD;; I like mindless leveling up! It's actually my favorite part of the games, as sad as that sounds!

Artwise, I'm down to my last three. I've got a picture of Brook to do for Yamer, a 'Ringu' picture for Chaoboi. (For this one I'm planning on having Yosh, Divi's Chokolat, Cerise's Cery and Katt-Tastrophie's Katt along with Chao. I just don't know how I'm going to do it! I could easily do a cosplay picture with the characters dressed as people from Revolutionary Girl Utena (it's a pun - Chao calls us his 'ring' and the theme song from Utena is 'ring revolution') or even LoTR. I don't really want to do LoTR, though, since the clothes aren't that awesome. (If I did, Yosh would be Gandalf for sure! Gandalf rocks!)

Anyway, ideas...(it'd be awesome to do some more Sailormoon fanart, too. There's too few pictures of Junjun or the manga-only Animates.)

Yeah.

So many doodles and little scribblings recently. I've been putting more work into character development and whatnot and I've also been doodling more artstuffs for people. I'm working on something for Byron (aka Tsunamidusher) because I needed something to draw in English and that's what I decided to do. I'm half-started with my trade with Arrrria, too. It's nice to be productive. (I guess.) I've only got four things more on my art to-do list, which is a splendiferous thing. I've decided not to do Birthday pictures any longer, so that also easens things up.

It really is lovely! I've got so many ideas of things I want to draw when I'm finished. :3

(More Sayuri art for one!)

Anyway. I'm looking forward to it. :D

I finally got to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show all the way through last night! It was positively delicious, though disturbing. I dunno - something about men prancing about in lingerie then appearing in that pool scene was just a bit unsettling. *shrug*

    <lj:music>Chicago - Razzle-Dazzle</lj:music>

Eheh~ Haven't updated here for such a long while! It's funny to read my past entries - I sound so...perky. o_O;

To follow-up on that cell-phone thing, well...it never happened. I wasn't turned down or anything, I just simply did not have the time to make the artstuffs for the company. They wanted 10 pieces of art just as a sample, and I had nothing to give them. Considering my art-creation rate...it would have been about six months before I could complete even the sample amount. XD; That's okay, though. I've got a lot of other things going right now and more stress isn't needed. XD

What can I say? I've been busy.

I'd like to give this journal a new background image...probably something Sailormoon-esque because frankly I really liked that series for a long time and...it's probably the only manga with a love story of sorts that I've ever liked. Though a great deal of the plot is corny, there are some aspects of it I still really like. :3

If I get the time, I'd love to draw some more Sailormoon fanart. There are so many lesser-known characters like...Mnemosyne or even Gucci & Chanel that it'd be fun to draw. I've always loved the S villains, (c'mon, the witches thing was a rather cool idea) so maybe Viluy, Tellu or Cyprine/Puchirol. Mimete, Eudial and Kaolinite were just too annoying for my taste, but the later witches were awesome. (Despite the fact that they died so rapidly.) Eh. C'est la vie. The Amazoness Quartet from SuperS kicked ass, too. Especially Junjun. Gravity-defying green hair. What could be better?

I think the pollen's really starting to get to me. I think I'll go now.

Ah, can't wait till the new Peter Pan movie comes out...! (less than a month)

Nyarr. On a more anime-ish note, anyone read Alice 19th? It's a magical girl story by Yu Watase (which automatically makes it awesome), not only is the art/story superb, but there is a Tidus-lookalike in there. <3<3<3 Gah, it's crazy. The first time I saw Tidus I thought he was an annoying, whiny, poorly-dressed guy and a sad excuse for a Final Fantasy hero. What can I say? He grows on you. :3

Mm. *supposed* to be working on my US History essay...I'm getting there - slowly.
Ah, so my brother-in-law came by today to look at those pictures...He says they look great and that his company wants 10 or so of them. XD Of course, they want these images BEFORE they'd sign a contract with me or anything...! (Not only that, I've been drawing gift-pictures for so long I don't actually have any human-art that's 100% copyrighten(sp.?) to me...I'd have to draw 10 new pictures! :x)

I was looking around at their website... http://www.xringer.com and they really don't have much tasty art up there. (Doesn't seem like a very large company either.) So it's not really like I'll be paid a lot or anything...it's just more that it'd be awesome if my art was on cell-phones!

It's not like it's a guaranteed thing anyway, but still, why not give it a shot and see if they like what I've made?

Thanks all for your congratulations/support. X3

...and hey, since I'll really be having to draw 'generic anime people' anyone want to give me suggestions for what to draw? "Cute little generic anime girl playing with cat." is a good suggestion. "Generic anime character that looks EXACTLY like Skye" isn't such a great one (sorry Dianne, but I needed a name!) because of copyright issues. :x I wish I could draw fanart of your guys' characters for this but I don't really think that's such a good idea. (Debating whether I should draw Sayuri for those pictures, though!
X3 I just bought Squall's necklace, Tidus' necklace and the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack~! <3 I'm happy.

Lesee..yesterday was our tennis banquet...got my shadow for my varsity letter which I'm proud of, yet it's sad since I hardly ever wear my varsity jacket. (my dad picked the size out, and it's football-player sized which REALLY doesn't look good on anyone smaller than Jerry Rice. Mmm...afterward Kate & Molleh and I played tennis till we lost feeling in our ears (coldness), then we went home for BBQ chicken pizza and 'Gangs of New York' which I honestly thought sucked. It was much too long, plus wading through puddles of blood just wasn't that palatable. (I don't mind blood/gore, mmm...maybe not in excessive amounts though.) Bah, but the real downfall is they killed off Liam Neeson within the first 10 minutes. ;_________________; I <3 my Qui-Gon. (must get Molleh & Kate together for Fight Club-watching too. Edward Norton~)

(On the flip side, as a result from watching GoNY I dreamed last night that someone shot me in the throat. It was a wierd feeling...not really painful, just...strange-ish...)

Today...Got Sora's Ultima Weapon, won the Hades Cup + got Save the King/Save the Queen weapons + Got the 99 dalmatians. Now to work up the courage to go face the final boss. I'm such a pansy, it never fails I'll get right to the part where I have to face the final boss, then I'll chicken out. XD;;; Then I'll level up copious amounts, fight the boss and say, 'wow. I really expected it to be harder than this.' Bwah. I really can't express just how much of a pansy am I when it comes to video game bosses. It's REALLY sad.

....Lessee....Bri's bday is on Tuesday so I need to draw her Aiden/Siv'e pr0n or something. <3 I heart you, Bri.

...and I've really gotta find a way to start out my Irish Boy Ranch. (In Idaho - I figure I'll attract them through the potatoes.) ..o0; Must also find a way to breed them. ("Hey! You can't breed boys!") Eheh, their accents are the cutest thing since hamtaro.

OMFG I GOT RIKKU LAST NIGHT IN FFX AND SHE KICKS SO MUCH ASS I HEART HER SHE'S SERIOUSLY ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE ME EXCEPT WITH A BETTER BODY. I would so wear her/Lulu's clothing if I had the body for it. Unfortunately, I have neither Rikku's body nor Lulu's boobage, so that'll never occur.

MUST SEE DEPP MOVIES SOON. I'd really like to find a Tidus wallscroll somewhere because my room should have lots more Tidus/Riku stuff in it. ^^ Tidus can be pretty annoying, but he's quite adorable at times, too. EIGHTEEN DAYS TILL POTC COMES OUT. In U.S. History today we had to write an essay on Manifest Destiny ("We're going to pretend God gave us the right to take over the North American continent, slaughter/kick out natives and Mexicans, and enforce our democratic ideals so that any shred of guilt we had left will be utterly destroyed.") and I was in a great essay-writing mood, so I ended up writing a really good 5-page long essay. XD; It was great. After school I went to watch the rest of the team play at EBAL (I was the alternate again, but they didn't have a place for me in the tournament so I didn't go.) It was a lot of fun to watch the team play and cheer them on...Vanessa especially~ She's my court-buddy (she plays #4, I play #3) so we always play next to and cheer the other on.

Ah yeah, so then we went to Borders and bought presents for Lindsay and lamented that the next Naruto novel was not yet out. Afterwards we came home. Huzzah. *hunts down a strawberry popsicle*

(I've got a four-day weekend so I don't have to go back to Physics class for 5 more days!
Wow. I think this tells you something about what the people at VCL like?

The old (like 1-2 years) pictures posted have maybe 30 or so hits.
recent art stuffs average 175 pageviews for not-well known characters,
recent artstuffs of well-known characters average around 400 pageviews.
oekakis usually get around 20-30 pageviews apiece.

Now then, you really can't say I draw porn or anything like that. At best, you'd get Sailormoon nudity from me, even still, my art on vcl that tends to show off a bit more body generally gets 4-5 times more views than anything else. (It's really sad) Even that one oekaki of a BELLYBUTTON I did has 4 times the usual amount.

Anyway, real reason for this was I just noted that that one panda-whore picture I did for Jenneh now has 710 views and in my opinion that's disgusting because I've done other stuff that's a lot better. I know that VCL mainly attracts people looking for anthro-porn, but geez, I had no idea it was this bad (and I don't even draw that kind of stuff!)

(christ, tox, I don't even want to know what kind of views I'd get for that one picture I was drawing...o0;;)

(and hey, bri, why don't you post your artstuffs on vcl..? you've got an account but you don't post...)

XB;; I think I'll make that journal more open to the public, since I've been thinking about making this journal private for awhile now. It's not like I really promote this journal or anything so I don't think many people read it (apart from friends list). Sweetness on a stick.

Today was good. She dressed as the sexy Squall from FF8. She kind of felt violated- throughout the day random people would come up and glomp her. I've defeated about 200 defenders, I've had Donald and Goofy (both equipped with Lucky Strike) in my party, but to no avail. It's strange, For the Wizard's Relic I defeated only 5 wizards before I got one, but I've just had no luck with the defenders. ;_______; Perhaps I need to beat the Behemoth in Hollow Bastion first?

...what the heck is a Bastion? o0;;

Gnar.

An end of an A-week only signifies the start of a new B-week. *grumble* It's not like the weekend'll be much fun anyway, especially since I've got to get all hw done before Sunday.

Anyway, I successfully finished my Photoshop assignment today, which is excellent, especially since I elected to save 60% for the last-minute. XD; I tried to make my image look like burnt paper, and ended up creating a passable image, though it was by no means very accurate. English was weird, Psychology was pointless. It WAS rather interesting watching Rubab whore herself out for the good of Kelly's Japanime club, though (during lunch). XD; After school I went to visit my sister + nephew to see how they were doing, since my nephew had a really high fever yesterday (had to be taken to the emergency room and the whole bit.) Basically, he's fine, at least as far as we can tell. He's got the annoying tendency to look amazingly normal when he's actually sick, then suddenly become really sick and confuse/scare the devil out of us. But he's okay, though my sister was kind of the worse for wear, after staying up way late last night watching him.

Afterwards, I went Halloween-costume shopping. *cough* I didn't do amazingly well, but I did add red&black striped stockings/arm warmers + pirate bandana + eyepatch to my existing costume. Looks like I won't have the time to find a decent pirate-ship so I'm stuck with my Paul Frank pirate-monkey shirt. *shrug* No biggie. My dad got a Boss Nass (from Star Wars, Ep.1) mask, and I got a pretty decent photo of 'pirate-me splitting the throat of "Boss Nass."' It was great. Lots of poses with moi & Bob too~ He's in pirate regalia as well, so it looks pretty spiffy.

Rereading 'Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.'
